Scottish farm-to-bottle distillery Arbikie Highland Estate is releasing a limited edition fresh strawberry vodka in the run-up to Christmas.
Arbikie Strawberry Vodka is a wheat vodka with a 50% abv. It uses strawberries grown locally to the Arbroath-based distillery's estate.
The vodka is the creation of Arbikie distillers Christian Perez and Kirsty Black.
Perez said: "We were keen to create a unique a vodka using only fresh produce with local strawberries. We used wheat grown on the farm to make the vodka that provides distinctive notes of butterscotch and biscuit characteristics.
"At 50% abv not only do you get a great base spirit for cocktails but an incredibly smooth and fresh tasting vodka."
The vodka was available to sample at London Cocktail Week. Alex Forsyth, Arbikie global brand ambassador said: "The feedback we received at LCW was overwhelming, everyone commented how unique the vodka is. There is this fresh strawberry aroma which lends itself to great martini and champagne cocktails."
Vintages are expected to show subtle changes in flavour each year as the variable Highland weather impacts each strawberry crop differently.
Arbikie Highland Estate launched in 2014 with its Scottish Potato Vodka, followed in 2015 by Kirsty's Gin and Chilli Vodka.
Arbikie Strawberry Vodka will retail at £45 for a 50cl bottle.
