Funkin partners with Cocktail Trading Co on Cocktails in the City serve

Published:  09 March, 2016

Cocktail-mixer producer Funkin is partnering with the Cocktail Trading Co on a new cocktail at this year's Cocktails in the City event in London.

The Eastend Dicky Bird, a slush-style cocktail inspired by the traditional London Bramble, which pays homage to the lost world of London's East End markets.

Made with Funkin Pro Mixed Berry Purée, Funkin Pro Rhubarb Syrup, Funkin Pro Pure Pour Lime and Beefeater London Dry Gin, it will be served in a bottle wrapped in a brown paper bag at an East London market-themed stand.

The stand will include old crates, decorative chalk boards and a flower stall, and staff will be dressed like Del Boy.

Ben Anderson, Funkin head of marketing, said: "Our collaboration with The Cocktail Trading Co brings an exciting and fun new cocktail that will only be available at Cocktails in the City, giving consumers a unique opportunity to sample something different and innovative from Funkin.

"As consumers' taste for cocktails continues to grow, Cocktails in the City is a fantastic platform that taps into this trend and we are excited to be a part of this year's event with The Cocktail Trading Co who share our innovative vision."

Cocktails in the City will be held at the Grade I-listed One Mayfair between March 10 and 12 from 5pm to 11pm.

Over 3,000 visitors are expected to attend the event, which offers cocktails from 20 iconic bars in London, Paris and Amsterdam across the venue's four floors.

Tickets are priced at £15, which includes the cost of one cocktail.

All additional cocktails are priced at £7.50.
