Essex-based wine agency Barwell & Jones has strengthened its sales team with the recruitment of Tim Gray.
Gray joins the team as business development manager for London with a brief to extend Barwell & Jones' reach in the on-trade.
Gray has wide experience in the wine trade, most recently as beverage manager at Lime Wood Group and Home Grown Hotels.
He also spent three years hosting customer and corporate tastings at Majestic and has worked in the cellars at New Zealand's Kumeu River winery.
Steve Gerrard, managing director of Barwell & Jones, said: "We are incredibly proud of our brands, and as the reputation of our portfolio grows we are delighted to welcome Tim to the team.
"The on-trade is a key channel in the development of our brands, and Tim's experience in wine sales and business development will help us continue our company expansion and drive the business forward over the next few years."
Barwell & Jones has recently added New Zealand winery Summerhouse Wines to its roster of family owned vineyards.
It represents over twenty wineries worldwide, including Zorzal and Lagarde in Argentina, Pizzato and Perini in Brazil, and Pueblo del Sol in Uruguay.
Gray's appointment comes ahead of the 2016 Olympics, to be held in Rio de Janeiro, which is likely to drive interest in Barwell & Jones' South American clients.
