Former Direct Wines boss Hodder joins Majestic board
Majestic has announced another change to its board with the appointment of former Direct Wines boss Greg Hodder as a non-executive director.
Hodder is currently chief executive officer of Charles Tyrwhitt Shirts, a post he has had since 2008, but before that had the same position for 14 years with Direct Wines, parent company of Laithwaites.
He has also formerly held senior positions at Smallbone USA, the kitchen and home designer, and Folio Society, a specialist publishing business.
Majestic chief executive Rowan Gormley said: "Greg's past experience will provide us with additional high-level strategic and operational support as we grow the business.
Hodder's appointment comes days after that of John Colley as managing director of Majestic's retail division.
Anita Balchandani joined the board as a non-executive director in June, while group chief financial officer Nigel Alldritt is due to step down in November to replaced by Naked Wines finance director James Crawford.
