Jacquart looks to Gonzalez to drive UK profile and sales

Champagne Jacquart has appointed Diane Gonzalez as its new UK business development manager.

Gonzalez has some eight years experience in the industry. She has been Jacquart's international communication and PR manager since 2013. Previous experience includes Veuve Clicquot and Ruinart.

Gonzalez will be working closely with export director Patrick Spanti to raise Jacquart's profile in the UK and drive sales.

She will concentrate on the on-trade, but will also manage a number of key off-trade accounts.

She will continue to act as Jacquart brand ambassador, and to oversee trade marketing a range of PR and communications activities.

Gonzalez said: "I am very excited to continue my Jacquart adventure in the UK. It is a strategic market for Champagne, especially for an audacious and contemporary brand like Jacquart.

Founded in 1964, Champagne Jacquart is a subsidiary of the Alliance Champagne Group.

The UK has been one of its key target markets for growth for several years.

Gonzalez's appointment follows the announcement in May that Jacquart was doubling its marketing spend in the UK, with a focus on consumers in London.
