Gordon Ramsay to open Heddon Street Kitchen off London's Regent Street

Heddon Street Kitchen is to be the latest London opening from the ever expanding Gordon Ramsay Group taking its portfolio of restaurants to 13.

The new outlet is set to open in Regent Street's so-called Food  Quarter on November 13 and Ramsay's first in the West End.

Heddon Street will look to capitalise on the interest in all-day dining and will be open for breakfast until late seven days a week and also includes its own bar.

Maria Tampakis moves up from senior sous chef at Ramsay's Bread Street Kitchen to be the new restaurant's head chef. She has also worked at the three Michelin-starred restaurant Jean-Georges in New York.

Heddon Street is an extension to the successful Bread Street Kitchen in the City and will cover 8,900 square foot, across two floors, with potential for 232 covers. A key feature will be its own wine tasting counter where guests will be able to sample a wide range of wines by the glass and take part in regular tastings. It is being fitted with a both a Bermar wine preservation system and include the new Coravin wine access system. The restaurant will also have its own ice cream parlour, a raw bar, pizza oven, cocktail lounge bar and private room.

Stuart Gillies, managing director of the Gordon Ramsay Group, said: "We are extremely excited to be opening in the very heart of the West End in what has become one of London's premier shopping destinations. With Regent Street receiving 7.5 million tourists each year and with 20,000 employed in the area, we have developed Heddon Street Kitchen as an accessible all-day concept that will appeal to both locals and visitors."
