Importer Guy Anderson recovers in hospital after paragliding accident in Idaho

Published:  30 August, 2012

Guy Anderson, owner and founder of Guy Anderson Wines, is recovering in hospital in the US after a paragliding accident left him stranded in the mountains for two nights.

Anderson had been competing in the Paragliding World Cup in Sun Valley, Idaho, when he went missing on August 25. He was found around 48 hours later by search and rescue teams in an area of remote, mountainous country, after reportedly crashing his paraglider into the side of a hill.

He has several broken bones and he has undergone an operation, but is expected to be home soon.

Howard Price, associate marketing director at GAW, said: "Guy is receiving treatment at the Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho, and despite being somewhat battered and bruised, is in good spirits and is keen to come home." He wants to reassure customers that it's "business as usual" at GAW.
