New York wine specialist Wine Equals Friends has become the sole UK importer of eight Finger Lakes producers.
The Finger Lakes is an American viticulture area in upstate New York, five hours' drive north east of Manhattan, with its own microclimate influenced by the deep lakes of Seneca, Keuka and Canandaigua.

WEF founder Sue Chambers said: "It's like finding California 30 years ago. I'm determined to put New York state on the vinous map, the WSET map and the shippers' map, and ensure all these highly committed, infectiously passionate winemakers and owners receive the international recognition they deserve."
The range starts at (rrp £8.99), with a large proportion of the list between rrp £12-£25, with high-end flagship wines and Bordeaux blends up to £50.99.
