Discovery Wines has joined forces with Bottle Green as part of a major strategic push into the on-trade and independent sector.
The link-up will see Discovery Wine's founder Antony McIndoe join the Bottle Green team while continuing to play a lead role in the management of Discovery's existing customers.
Discovery Wines already has significant established business in the independent wholesale sector. Its UK-stocked portfolio includes the representation of Vistamar from Chile, Omaka Springs from New Zealand as well as its own brands, including The Landings from Australia, Diamond Bay from South Africa and Discovery Beach from California.
The portfolio will be expanded through the launch of a new and exclusive on-trade and independent range from Bottle Green at the London International Wine Fair.
The partnership will see Discovery and Bottle Green purely focusing on developing existing and new wholesale and independent business, rather than servicing individual outlets. The changes will take effect immediately.
Antony McIndoe, Discovery's managing director, said: "We are delighted to be joining forces with the expertise and reputation of Bottle Green and look forward to working together to provide a powerful new proposition to the on-trade and independent sectors.
"We are very excited about being able to showcase our new ranges at the LIWF and meeting existing and prospective customers alike."
