Real Wine Fair 2012 announces line up

The Real Wine Fair 2012, has announced 160 natural growers and winemakers will participate in its inaugural event in May.

It will showcase more than 600 artisan wines from organic or biodynamically grown grapes made with minimum intervention in the winery.

Authors, journalists and winemakers such as Alice Feiring, Jamie Goode, Monty Waldin, Olivier Cousin, Tom Lubbe and Jon Wurdeman will give master-classes on subjects such as The History of Natural Wine, The Difference between Organic & Biodynamic Viticulture, Animal Traction: The Role of Animals in the Vineyard and Qvevri and the Wine Culture of Georgia.

Other attractions include the Real Wine Pop-Up Café where three London restaurants will provide an array of tapas-style dishes for the Real Wine Café.

Plus, Ottolenghi, The Modern Pantry and Morito will be serving snacks and lunch-boxes from their street food stalls.

Director and producer Jonathan Nossiter will also present a audience Q and A session after the UK premiere of the the 10-part series, following on from his 2004 documentary film Mondovino.

The event coincides with The Real Wine Month -  a national promotion highlighting organic, biodynamic and natural wines made by artisan growers and winemakers which will be poured by glass or featured on wine lists and catalogues in over 200 restaurants and independent retailers.
