Stolichnaya Vodka has launched the The Himalayan Edition, the first in a series for Stolichnaya's ultra-premium reference, Elit.
Only 300 individually numbered bottles (rrp £2,000) will be produced of the pristine water series, crafted from the world's purest water sources from the Langtang National Park.
This water is then combined with the finest winter wheat harvested from the Tambov region in Russia.
The ingredients are mechanically filtered to remove imperfections while maintaining the water's natural composition and characteristics.
Finally, this rarest of vodkas undergoes the unique Stolichnaya Vodka 'freeze-filtration' process to ensure no imperfections remain.
Each of the 300 bottles are made from ultra-premium, hand-blown Bohemian crystal from the Czech Republic.
Val Mendeleev, chief executive officer of SPI Group, says: "With the launch of elit by Stolichnaya pristine water series: The Himalayan Edition, Stolichnaya Vodka continues to set the standard by providing another first in its class of ultra-premium spirits.
"As a leader in the spirits industry we strive to develop exciting opportunities to treat consumers' discerning taste buds by providing superior quality, perfection and taste."
Stolichnaya Vodka will reveal a new water source and second limited edition for the elit by Stolichnaya pristine water series in 2012.
The Himalayan Edition, Stolichnaya Vodka will support Oceana, the world's largest international organisation working solely to protect our oceans.
