G&J Greenall has announced its first prime time television sponsorship deal in its 250 year history.

G&J Greenall has announced its first prime time television sponsorship deal in its 250 year history.

The gin brand will appear on ITV1 in support of the 'Adventurer's Guide to Britain', hosted by Gethin Jones and Charlotte Uhlenbroek, which begins in November and focuses on Britain's unexplored land and heritage.

The sponsorship will form a part of the brand's through-the-line marketing strategy targeting core gin drinkers in the UK interested in brands with a strong British heritage.

A poster promotion will extend the reach of the campaign.

Christian Rose, chief executive officer, said, "We have a strategic core business focus to strengthen our branded portfolio, which includes Greenall's Gin alongside recent launches of Bloom and Berkeley Square."

"After careful consideration, the 'Adventurer's Guide to Britain' stood out to us as a new TV show that we believe conjures up a real curiosity and celebration of Great British culture - values that Greenall's share.

Celebrating 250 years of 'Great British Spirit' in 2011, the UK's number two mainstream branded gin in the market, Greenall's Original London Dry Gin has grown 40% YOY since it re-launched with a fresh contemporary new look earlier this year.
