Diageo launches Gordon's 'Let's get Started' campaign

Diageo Great Britain (GB) has launched a marketing campaign for its gin brand Gordon's, that aims to inspire consumers to turn to its gin and tonic at the start of the evening.

The campaign entitled, 'Shall we get Started' will see well known faces, Philip Glenister and Emilia Fox, beginning their night with a G&T while engaging in witty conversation.

Starting in August, this is the biggest campaign the brand has produced in recent years and will incorporate a comprehensive programme of TV, digital and radio activity.

The brand is also undertaking a partnership with the Ambassador Theatre Group that will enable the brand to create a Gordon's experience at theatres across the country.

Alex Smith, marketing manager for Gordon's at Diageo GB, says: "We strongly believe that Gordon's is the brand to revitalise and continue driving growth into the gin category.

"A British stalwart, Gordon's is ideally placed to remind consumers just how great a perfect G&T can be to get your evening off to great start.

"We expect to see a marked difference in sales across the busy August to December period, truly bringing G&T back into fashion as the best possible start to the evening."
