Croatian wine returns to London

Published:  21 July, 2011

Croatia's leading wine producers will be showcasing more than 150 wines at a London-based tasting in September.

Supported by the Croatian Chamber of Commerce and Ministry of Agriculture, the event follows a commercially successful inaugural tasting in 2010.

The Croatia Tasting will take place on September 8 at The Delphina on Bermondsey Street from 10am to 5pm.

It will kick off with two masterclasses hosted by The Wine Gang, who will first be looking at a cross section of unusual grapes, styles and regions, followed by an exploration of Croatia's indigenous grapes and blends.

The Wine Gang will also showcase 45 wines on a central table, which they feel represents the most exciting Croatian wines produced today.

The tasting will showcase wines from 30 of the country's leading producers, spanning the key wine growing regions of Istria, Kvarner, Dalmatia, Slavonia, and Northwest Croatia, and including both indigenous and international varietals.

Winemakers from around 20 of the wineries represented by Wines of Croatia will also be attending the tasting to present their wines.

To register and to sign up to the masterclasses, email sally@relish-pr.co.uk.
