Ibérica Food & Culture to open Canary Wharf venue

Published:  18 July, 2011

Ibérica Food & Culture is to open its second venue in Canary Wharf and will continue the ethos of the original, which is to showcase the best of Spanish produce and wine.

Unique to Canary Wharf will be the Wine Custody Service, where patrons will be able to lease their own personal space in the restaurant's extensive cellar.

Members of this programme will be able to purchase exclusive vintages from some of Spain's finest wine producers - including Vega Sicilia and Pingus - and store them in the perfect cellar conditions.

The restaurant will be led by its executive chef, Nacho Manzano of the two Michelin starred Casa Marcial in Asturias, Iberica Canary Wharf will serve authentic gastronomic tapas.

Manzano says: "For me, for Spanish cooking, the tastes and flavours of the dish rely on sourcing the best possible ingredients. Its really exciting for Iberica, as there is such great produce here in the British Isles and together with what we use from Spain, we get great results."

It will open at 10 Cabot Square in Canary Wharf in Autumn 2011.
