Shortlist announced

Moet & Chandon and Harpers & Queen have announced the shortlist for their Premier Crew awards for the best in front-of-house management. Fashionable restaurants in London include: Christophe Capron, High Holborn; Jesus Adorno, Caprice; Fredrick Serol, Mirabelle; and Patrick Fischnaller, Orrery. Fashionable restaurants outside London include: Brian Mouritzen, Royal Clarence, Exeter; Annie Schwab, Winteringham Fields, Humberside; Nigel Sutcliffe, Fat Duck, Bray-on-Thames; Karina Vontini, Valvona & Crolla, Edinburgh; Susan Rossell, Suma's, Gorey, Jersey; and Helena Avis, Box Tree, Ilkley. Grand hotels and traditional restaurants include: Umesh Sawnundun, Le Talbooth; Andrew Salvaduri, Mosimann's; Simon Parker-Bowles, Greens; and Tim Hart, Hambledon Hall, Rutland. Smaller, owner-manager restaurants include: Graham Thompson, Chez Max; Philip and Jane Lawless, Motcombs; and Patrick Tako, Lou Pescado. Sommeliers nominated include: Serge Borne, the Oak Room; John Gilchrist, the Crooked Billet, Newton Lonville; and Ronan Sayburn, Gordon Ramsay.
