Bacardi is sending out a team of mixologists to bars, music festivals and events across the country to "reduce the pressure on a venues' main bar, provide perfectly served drinks and increase revenue".
As part of the 2011 Bacardi Together campaign, the brand will be sending out it mixologists, branded, "Bacardi Bats" to 16 cities starting in Glasgow and including Manchester, London, Birmingham and Cardiff to cater for over 300 events.
They will also visit music festivals and events, including Rockness, Lovebox and The Big Chill, where they'll offer an ice and cup drop service throughout campsites and buggy rides to transport bags between the car park and campsite. Consumers will also have the opportunity to win the bats to come to their next get together at home via Facebook.
The bats will travel to each venue with a pop up bar, glassware and sharing vessels, extra bar staff, posters and free gifts with purchase for guests. The events will be publicised via either radio, outdoor and online advertising directing consumers to 'like' the Facebook.com/Bacardi page to register. Pre-registered guests can take advantage of exclusive services such as queue jump, free cloakroom services, exclusive seating, celebratory prizes and table service for cocktails.
Catherine Archer, director of marketingat Bacardi, said: "Our insights have shown that consumers face a number of barriers which prevent great nights out, and the Get Togethers will help make social occasions even better by removing the usual barriers to enjoyment like queuing, and creating an environment where friends can make the most of their night out. The Bat teams will also help reduce the pressure on a venues' main bar, providing perfectly served drinks and increasing revenue."
