European Wine Bloggers' Conference speakers

Published:  23 May, 2011

George Taber, the only reporter to attend Steven Spurrier's 1976 Judgement of Paris blind tasting, will be one of The 2011 European Wine Bloggers' Conference two keynote speakers.

Drawing on his many years' experience as a reporter, editor and author, Taber will be speaking on the theme of Telling Someone Else's Story.

This year's conference will consist of two keynote sessions addressing the theme of storytelling and online wine communications, as well as smaller group sessions hosted by guest speakers and focused on the four disciplines of video, photography, writing and oral reporting.

The annual EWBC aims to gather wine communicators from around the world who are looking to build stronger relations between their sites and offer a better route for wineries and retailers to reach consumers and readers. Organised by Ryan and Gabriella Opaz and Robert McIntosh of social media company Vrazon, this year's conference will be held in Franciacorta (northern Italy) from October 14-16.

Each day includes wine tastings and at the end of the conference, delegates have the chance to visit the vineyards of Franciacorta.

Tickets cost €200 for wine bloggers and €350 for others. Find out more at http://winebloggersconference.org/europe/
