Peckham's looks for franchisees

Published:  13 September, 2010

Peckham's, the Scottish delicatessen and wine merchant operator, is embarking on an ambitious expansion plan with an appeal for franchisees.

The company, founded in 1982 by Tony Johnston, currently has 14 branches. It is asking potential franchisees to invest £90,000 to join the business - a fee which includes shopfitting, stock and training.

The company said: "Our franchise business provides customers with access to specialist wines, spirits and quality products not readily available in the high street or through wholesalers. Everything we do is based on delivering quality products matched by expert advice and excellent customer service."

The first wave of franchise recruitment is aimed at retailers which will sell premium wines and spirits, luxury chocolates, oils, vinegars and premium cigars.

There will be separate campaigns to attract franchisees for the delicatessen and off-sales concept, and for retailers which also want to operate a café on the premises.
