Côtes du Rhône wines will be the official match sponsor of the London Double Header at Twickenham, which marks the opening round of matches in the Premiership Rugby season.
Sponsorship will be supported with Côtes du Rhône branding around the stadium, a full-page advertisement in the official programme and there will also be a partnership with the Evening Standard at the end of August to promote the event.
The match on September 4, this year will reach over 1 million consumers via a combination of live coverage by ESPN and highlights on ITV4 and ITV1. Coverage will also be available for the first time on premiershiprugby.tv
"In Britain there is a strong affinity between rugby audiences and wine, with nearly 30% of adult rugby fans aged 30-55 regularly consuming wine," said Olivier Legrand, marketing manager, InterRhone. "This is a unique opportunity for Côtes du Rhône wines to communicate with this specific audience,"
The London Double Header sponsorship will also feature a new Rhône visual to complement the existing advertising campaign.
