Great Western Wine has marked 25 years of trading with a reception at its Bath shop.

The company's managing director, Philip Addis, local MP Don Foster, previous chairman Michael Winckworth and representatives from organisations it has worked with over the years through sponsorship, fund raising and charitable donations joined members of staff at a event to mark the milestone last week.

Addis made a speech outlining the company's 25 year history, from its humble beginnings in a barn near Colerne to its current base in the centre of Bath, with a staff of 30 and a turnover of nearly £10 million.

Great Western Wine now has a portfolio of over 600 wines sold throughout the UK to many of the country's leading restaurants and independent wine merchants.

Guests toasted the event with De Sousa Champagne.
