New Italian agency for Corney & Barrow

Published:  23 July, 2008

A Barolo-based producer has been added to the portfolio of UK wine merchant Corney & Barrow.

Giacomo Conterno, based in the Serralunga commune, is a family company, headed up by Roberto Conterno.

The estate has 16 hectares of vines, and only produces 50,000 bottles each year, with Barbera and Nebbiolo grapes.

The company produces three wines: Barolo Cascina Francia; Barolo Riserva Monfortino; and Barbera d'Alba Cascina Francia.

Corney & Barrow sales director Oliver Hartley said: "Working with Roberto will be a privilege, and introducing both his philosophies and his wines to our customers is a great opportunity."
