Businesses will now be able to track the habits of wine consumers internationally with the launch of a new research service.
Vinitrac, created by Wine Intelligence, will be a comprehensive consumer survey of wine drinking habits across seven major markets - Canada, Denmark, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, UK and the US.
It will question more than 1,000 wine drinkers in each country on subjects including:
wine consumption frequency and spend;
country of origin consumption and
perceptions;
brand awareness;
choice of variety; and
attitudes to closures.
Lulie Halstead, chief executive of Wine Intelligence, said: With Vinitrac, the global wine industry has a powerful and cost-effective international consumer research tool.
Companies can use it to gain better and more consistent insights across a range of key international markets to help create and measure individual market strategies or or across multiple marketplaces.'
The global survey will run twice a year in March and September. Businesses can subscribe to data reports covering all countries or specific markets and can submit their own questions.
