The managing director of Wines of Argentina has quit the post less than one year after taking up the reins.
Fernando Farr took up the position in September last year, succeeding marketing manager Bernardo Hoffmann, following an eight-year spell at L'Oral.
An open letter to Wines of Argentina members from president Susana Balbo informed them that Farr was leaving for family matters', and that he was no longer able to settle down in the city of Mendoza', where the organisation's HQ is situated.
The letter goes on to praise Farr for his achievements: the opening of the Mendoza and London offices; the conduction of the recruitment process for the UK representative; the implementation of generic advertising campaigns in the USA and Brazil; and the organisation of seminars and meetings for the elaboration of promotion strategies and action plans in the target countries of Argentine exports.'
Balbo added: Let's wish Fernando the best for the next steps of his professional career.'
