Broadland boosts sales team

Published:  02 October, 2018

Broadland Wineries has appointed Matthew Vowles as national account manager.

Vowles joins from Treasury Wine Estates (TWE) where he was business manager working on Blossom Hill, Wolf Blass, Lindemans and 19 Crimes. Prior to this he worked with Percy Fox, moving over when TWE bought Blossom Hill.

Taking on his new role with immediate effect, Vowles is responsible for driving distribution of the brands across the UK as well as strengthen the brand expertise across the business.

The appointment followed Broadland having achieved a “significant number” of retail listings for its branded products through multiple grocers in the UK, Europe and the USA, said sales director Peter Bisley.

Vowles said: “Broadland brands Minivino, Three Mills and Proudly Vegan are now listed by three multiple grocers. The company has real potential to be a major player in the branded wine category.”

Vowles appointment follows that of Liz Cobbold in April. She joined as senior brand manager having previously held senior positions at Adnams and Tesco. She was promoted to marketing director with responsibility for the UK and USA in September.
