Hayman’s Gin has revealed plans to create a UK sales team to support its ambitions for the home market.
Planned to coincide with the opening of Hayman’s new London distillery in early 2018, the new sales team will mark the end of Hayman’s nine-year partnership with current distributor, Love Drinks.
The changes formed part of a new strategy for Hayman’s, including the home market “taking on a new significance” as the company returned to its London roots, said founder James Hayman.
“We will be investing increasing amounts in marketing the brand within the UK and at this juncture it also makes sense for us to establish a dedicated sales team,” he said, adding the opening of the new distillery marked a new phase for Hayman’s.
Love Drinks had played an instrumental part in the success of Hayman’s in the UK and helped the business generate growth every year throughout the partnership, said Hayman.
To ensure a smooth transition for customers, Hayman’s will continue to work with Love Drinks throughout the first half of 2018.
Hayman’s announced the plans to relocate distillation of their range of English Gins back to London in line with a long-held family ambition earlier this year, when it revealed the new distillery would be located less than four miles from the family distillery first launched in 1863.
