Show celebrating English bubbles to launch during London Wine Week

An English sparkling wine show is poised to make its debut during this year’s English Wine Week

Created by restaurant marketing consultant Fabio Adler, the show will give visitors the opportunity to taste an array of English fizz, including Digby, Langham, Herbert Hall, Hoffmann & Rathbone, Black Dog Hill, Hindleap, a’Beckett’s and Smith & Evans, in a bid to help raise the category’s profile.

The activity forms part of Adler’s recently launched Mousseux Anglais venture set up to champion English sparkling wines – a sector still “quite under the radar” for most consumers despite its growing popularity and recognition, said Adler.

In addition to organising and hosting the show, Adler said Mousseux Anglais was in the process of producing what it claimed to be the first English Sparkling Wine London Guide designed to help Londoners find out where they can sip and buy English fizz at restaurants, bars, hotels and wine stores.

The business is also planning on opening an English sparkling wine pop-up bar in September, for which it is currently looking for suitable premises.

The new English Sparkling Wine Show will take place Wednesday 31st May between 6pm and 9pm at The Hoxton, Shoreditch.
