Premium Scottish field-to-bottle distillery Arbikie Highland Estate has added a second gin to its award-winning range.
AK's Gin is distilled using wheat and honey, with botanicals including black pepper, mace and cardamom.
Christian Perez, Arbikie's distillery manager, said: "We chose our Viscount variety of wheat because it gave us a beautiful, buttery character. Coupled with our fresh honey, 'AK's Gin' is incredibly smooth lending itself to a great gin and tonic and an amazing base spirit for cocktails."
Launched in time for Burn's Night, AK's Gin is named after Alexander Kirkwood Stirling, the father of Arbikie owners Iain, John and David.
John Stirling said: "Our Dad is an inspiration to us and we wanted to create a gin that reflected his character and our family's farming roots. He's farmed all his life and is proud that we are distilling using our family's own crops and is keen that we share that unique provenance with our Arbikie customers on-going."
The ethos at the 2,000 acre Arbikie focuses on using estate-grown ingredients as far as possible, and the distillery plans to build its own hives to help nurture the declining bee population.
Arbikie launched in 2014 with Scotland's first potato vodka, followed by Kirsty's Gin the following year.
