Calvet ads are talking

Bordeaux brand Calvet has launched a new print-based advertising campaign - initially in the London area - that takes an informal off-beat approach that is distinctly different from traditional Bordeaux wine advertising'.

The adverts - based around the idea of Start a Conversation with Calvet' - will appear initially in Metro and London's Evening Standard, on the TV pages, this month and then move into the national press later in the year. Etienne Brault, Calvet's export director, said the company wants to focus the adverts on the consumer and put the wines into a social setting.
