Following a two-year collaboration with Daum Crystal, winemaker Jean Claude Mas is releasing a limited-edition bottling of AAA Astélia 2015 in crystal bottles, inspired by Salvador Dali's crystal series with Daum.

Domaines Paul Mas AAA Astélia 2015 will be presented as an exclusive "en primeur" at auction for charity in 10 different countries. The world premier launch will take place on September 23, 2016, at the Eiffel Tower and the US edition will take place in New York in November 2016.

The series consists of 30 crystal bottles, each said to be a "unique work of art" personalised and named by artist Christophe Heymann.

Crafted in Daum's molten glass technique with vibrant colors and distinctive shaping, each bottle will hold just under a magnum (1.2 L).

Following the auction, Mas will select the top red cuvée from the 12 Domaines Paul Mas estates, which extend across the Languedoc's Herault Valley. In February 2017, the finished "work of art" with a unique wax seal will ship in a personalized case.

Bidders will also receive a gold Pruniaux bracelet at the time of the auction to mark their purchase.

Jean Claude Mas is known for seeking to marry the art of winemaking with major artistic fields such as painting, crystal glassworks and jewellery.
