Quentin Rappoport will leave his position as director of the WSA, as previously reported in Harpers, at the end of April.
He is leaving following the recent announcement that the role of director will be changed significantly. This came to light following the review of the organisation that was completed earlier this year.
Rappoport commented: Since joining the WSA seven years ago, I feel I have completed an important phase in the Association's evolution and that the forthcoming changes give me an opportunity to pursue other interests and leave the field clear for fresh ideas.'
The role of director will now become that of director general, with significantly enhanced powers and responsibilities. An appointment will be made shortly.
