Kingston Estate launches "next generation" of private-label wines at ProWein

Published:  14 March, 2016

South Australian winery Kingston Estate is launching three new Living Brands at ProWein this week.

The brands to be released globally are The Candidate, McBain's Crossing and the Guild of Fermentation Fanatics, with varietals under the brands including Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Shiraz and Cabernet Merlot.

The brand concept represents the next generation of private labels, Bill Moularadellis, owner of Kingston Estate Wines, said.

"This is the consumer-led evolution of private label. We have added value to the packaging and provided an authenticity and a story in each of these wines which in turn increases the price point opportunity of a customer's private label range.

"We are constantly looking for ways to help our customers cut through and we believe the time is right to go global with this new offering.

"As private label specialists we are able to help grow our customer's Australian category and our Living Brands have been instrumental in lifting shelf price, volumes and margin returns."

Kingston Estate Wines is a large-scale grower, producer and exporter of private label wines for in-market bottling.

Founded by Greek emigrants, Nina & Steve Moularadellis in 1985, Kingston Estate is located in Kingston-On-Murray around 150 miles from Adelaide.

It sources grapes from many of South Australia's key wine-making regions, including the Clare Valley, Coonawarra, Adelaide Hills, Padthaway and the Riverland.
