Pernod Ricard's premium whisky brand Chivas Regal has launched a new ultra-prestige expression aimed at the luxury market.
Chivas Regal The Icon is a blend of some of the rarest and oldest whiskies available to the company.
Colin Scott, Chivas Regal's master blender, said: "Chivas Regal The Icon is a truly exquisite blend - perfectly smooth with an intense concentration of sumptuous flavours that develop into an exceptionally long, lingering finish.
"I am exceptionally proud to launch this luxurious expression of the Chivas Regal house style in the UK. A unique taste of the past and a whisky destined for an iconic future."
The whisky is described as having rich notes of honey, vanilla and dark chocolate balanced by hazelnut influences from the cask.
The Icon will be available to the UK market in March exclusively from Harrods, Harrods.com and The Whisky Exchange.
It will have a recommended retail price of £2,000.
Chivas Regal was launched in 1909 as the world's first luxury whisky.
It sells 4.6 million nine-litre cases each year in more than 150 countries.
Alongside The Icon expression, the Chivas Regal range includes Chivas 12, Chivas 18, Chivas 25, Chivas Regal Extra and Chivas Brothers Blend.
