Peated 1989 single malt joins Old Pulteney Scotch range

Published:  15 September, 2015

Single malt brand Old Pulteney has added a new peated whisky to its range.

Old Pulteney 1989 has been released in the UK initially at an rrp of £135 per bottle with global markets to follow.

The whisky gets its smoky character from having been matured in American oak ex-bourbon barrels that have also previously held heavily peated malt.

It is non chill-filtered and bottled at 46% abv.

Senior brand manager Margaret Mary Clarke said: "The single malt's unique, indulgent taste is a real testament to the dedicated team at Pulteney Distillery who are passionate about the latest addition to our much-loved single malt portfolio."
