The final line-up for the Oxford Wine Festival has now been confirmed. The full exhibitor list now includes over 40 of the UK's leading wine merchants and covers 26 wine-producing countries.
The festival will take place at the Oxford Union on 21 and 22 August.
The festival will be divided into a number of zones, including old world wines, new world wines, English wine-tasting, and emerging regions.
The English room will feature Ambriel Sparkling, Coates & Seely, Oatley Vineyard and Gusbourne Estate.
Visitors to the emerging regions zone will have the opportunity to explore a range of rare wines and varietals, many of which offer considerable value for money. Countries represented include Brazil, Georgia, and Turkey. Andrea Hargrave MW will be presenting Indian wineries through Character Wines.
Twelve hour-long tutored tastings will be running throughout the festival, covering everything from Argentinian boutique wines to the psychology of wine.
There will also be two extended masterclasses: Laura Jewell MW on cool climate Australia and Sarah Abbott MW on Rhone grapes and blends.
Three of these events have already sold out. Contact Ihaveaquestion@oxfordwinefestival.org for details on booking or further information. Tickets cost £19.50 in advance, which includes your first ten samples of wine.
