CONSUMER WINE SHOW TO LAUNCH

Published:  23 July, 2008

One of the UK's most successful consumer event organisers is launching a consumer wine show, Wine Show London, this autumn. Consumer Exhibitions - the creators of the BBC Good Food Show and the Restaurant Show - is hoping to attract approximately 15,000 visitors to the event, which will take place at the Business Design Centre in Islington, north London, on 27-30 October. Managing director Tim Etchells said: Having been extensively involved in the food and wine events industry, we are now very excited about the opportunities that Wine Show London will offer to both the wine industry and the UK's wine-loving public.' Consumer Exhibitions will be undertaking an extensive marketing campaign in and around London to attract the key audience of wine and premium spirit drinkers. The campaign will include a targeted PR, advertising and direct mail campaign, and promotions with London restaurants and consumer media partners to publicise the event. Event director Richard Ross said that they were looking for around 200 companies to exhibit wines and other services. So far we have had around 100 companies express a serious interest so I am very hopeful,' he added. Tickets for the event will cost 15 in advance, and will include a free tasting glass.
