WINE INTELLIGENCE EXPANDS INTO THE US

Published:  23 July, 2008

Wine Intelligence is moving into the US wine market by appointing its first director of North American operations. The new director, Ann Feely, will divide her time between the new Wine Intelligence office in the San Francisco Bay Area and the UK head office in London. Managing director of Wine Intelligence, Richard Halstead, called the move a key milestone in Wine Intelligence's strategy to expand its successful research and consulting services in the important US and Canadian markets. The US is the most important growth market for wine in the world, and with Ann on board we feel we can offer our worldwide client-base far better insights on launching and maintaining a successful wine brand in this market.' For the past three years, Feely has worked for St Supry Vineyards & Winery in the Napa Valley in a number of senior roles, including international sales manager and national accounts manager. In addition to holding a Wine MBA from the Bordeaux Business School, Ann has spent the past year participating in the first-year study program of the Institute of Masters of Wine.
