Bob Rishworth semi retires from Halewood International

Bob Rishworth will be semi-retiring from his role as the board director at Halewood International in order to focus on his own consultancy business.

Rishworth has been in the drinks trade for over 50 years. He started his career in 1960 with United Rum Merchants. He acquired his marketing degree over three years while taking night classes and then went on to Allied Domecq, which took over the United Rum Merchants in the early 1990s.
Eventually Rishworth worked his way up to become the commercial director of the company's spirits division. He then moved on to work at Morrison Supermarkets as the wines and spirits director.
Rishworth first moved to Halewood Vintners, which is now Halewood International, in 1990 as sales and marketing director, becoming managing director and then chairman of Halewood's wine division Chalié Richards & Co.
Rishworth has served as chairman of the Gin & Vodka Association, the Wine & Spirit Trade Benevolent Society and the North West W.S.A.
Halewood International was founded in 1978 by John Halewood. The company has grown from a start-up into a major drinks manufacturer and distributor in the UK and globally. The company's turnover now exceeds £270 million
The Halewood International portfolio covers both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Within alcoholic drinks the company produces and imports a range that encompasses all the major categories, including spirits, beer, wine, cider, RTDs and fortified wine.
