Bartenders are being challenged to come up with a new Bénédictine cocktail for the Bénédictine Cocktail Challenge.
The competition, now in its second year, will challenge competitors to create a cocktail using at least 35ml of Bénédictine liqueur.
The London heat takes place on September 2 at bartending school Shaker & Company. Other heats will be taking place in Manchester, Glasgow and Birmingham.
Judging criteria will be based on taste, aroma, brand knowledge and presentation.
The winner of the competition will then join the three other regional competition heat winners on trip to France from October 16-18, including an educational visit to the Palais de Fécamp, the liqueur's birthplace in Normandy, and a cocktail safari of Paris.
Paul Curry, brand manager at Bénédictine Liqueur, said: "Last year's competition really showcased the fantastic talent there is out there in the UK and we're looking forward to seeing what exciting creations the professionals have up their sleeves for this year.
"Shaker & Company prides itself on its experimental and innovative cocktails, and with Bénédictine's unique flavour being a great ingredient for cocktails, it promises to be a great competition. May the best mixologist win!"
The competition starts at 12pm and will take place in Shaker & Company, 119 Hampstead Road, London. Registration for the competition will start at 11am.
