International fine wine broker Fine+Rare has announced plans to open a second office in Asia to meet growing demand.
The new office will be located in Singapore and joins the first Asian office which is in Hong Kong.
Ross Eva, head of Southeast Asia for Fine+Rare, will relocate from London to head up the Singapore office, continuing to work alongside the UK team to grown business in Singapore and surrounding regions. He plans to recruit more staff later in the year.
Fine+Rare sales director Jamie Graham said: "Southeast Asia - and Singapore in particular - has been a very important market for Fine+Rare for many years now. While we can service this business efficiently from our London offices, moving one of our most experienced account managers to the region enables us to get closer to our customers, to open bottles with them, to be on the ground and to make it even easier for anybody in the region to buy or sell fine wine via Fine+Rare's marketplace.
"No other merchant can offer such huge variety - we are currently listing over 50,000 different wines - and our aim is to help our customers find what they want. Without the constraints of a traditional stockholding, we are uniquely placed to offer customers what we believe to be an unrivalled choice."
Fine+Rare was founded in 1994 and is now considered to be one of the largest and most successful international fine wine traders.
