Domaine Jones releases 'recovery range'

Published:  18 June, 2013

The House Wine has become the first UK stockist of the Domaine Jones "recovery range" after the producer's previous white vintage was affected by vandals earlier this year.

The producer behind the Domaine Jones label, Katie Jones, suffered a significant financial loss after vandals turned on the taps destroying the whole 2012 vintage of Jones Blanc Grenache Gris.

Apres La Pluie, Le Beau Temps 2012, (sunshine after the rain), is the first of the range to be released and is a rosé made from 100% Grenache from the Languedoc region of France and aims to be the perfect accompaniment for light summer dining.

It will be available to order from mid-June from the House Wine website at £9.50.

Established in 2011 by wine graduate, Gwen McCann, and entrepreneur, Sarah Rogers, the House of Wine focuses on bringing hand-crafted, affordable, everyday drinking wines with personality from all over the world to the UK.

It is especially interested in emerging producers who aspire to bring change and innovation to the creation of new wines, and in particular, on the many female producers who are making their mark in what has traditionally been a male-dominated industry.

The company has been a strong supporter of Katie Jones, organising London tastings and seminars to raise awareness for her growing and successful business, and McCann and Rogers plan to participate in the vendange at Domaine Jones later this year.
