Havana Club has launched an "educational" Mojito Embassy pop-up bar, which aims to teach guests how to make an authentic Cuban Mojito.

The campaign starts its UK journey at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival from August 3-19, and will travel worldwide throughout 2012 and 2013.

The Mojito Embassy, which will serve as an entertainment and educational hub in the heart of the festival in George Square, will reinforce the importance of using fresh and authentic ingredients, and teach people how to make an authentic Cuban Mojito using Havana Club 3 Year Old.

Guests will be invited to customise their drink by picking ingredients from street trolleys at the Mojito Market and taking them through to the traditional Cuban Market Bar, where a trained cantinero will teach them how to make an authentic Mojito, while listening to the live music provided.

After learning how to make their Mojito, festival-goers will get the chance to take part in a challenge to replicate what they have been taught.

In addition, there will be a branded café located close to the main theatres and a live art installation providing the fresh mint used in the drinks.

Meimi Sanchez, brand ambassador for Havana Club, said: "The Havana Club Mojito Embassy is inspired by the Cuba of today, showing people how to make authentic Cuban Mojitos with fresh, natural and unprocessed ingredients, as well as giving them an insight into the vibrancy, creativity and ingenuity of contemporary Havana. The activity allows us to restore the value of the authentic and original Cuban Mojito, as served by Cuba's most famous bars, Bodeguita del Medio and Floridita."
