DIRECT WINES AIMS FOR 20 MILLION FIRST-YEAR TURNOVER IN CORPORATE SECTOR

Direct Wines, the UK's largest home delivery wine specialist, which trades under brands such as Laithwaites and The Sunday Times Wine Club, is launching into the corporate sector, focusing on business incentives, rewards and other motivational aids. It hopes to achieve 20 million in turnover in the first year of trading, by offering an outstanding and comprehensive package of business support to corporate customers, including recipient database set-up and management'. Direct Wines has an established call centre and a huge distribution operation, which ships more than 3.5 million cases per year and guarantees delivery in 14 days. A marketing package is supporting Direct Wines' move, including literature, and a transactional website will be operational by September. Via the Direct Wines website, customers will have access to a dedicated corporate microsite.
