Taylor's Port has launched its new website with the aim of giving consumers greater confidence at point of purchase.
The website aims to be a point of reference for port novices and seasoned enthusiasts and features descriptions and tasting notes for 50 of Taylor's ports, advice on port and food matching, notes on decanting and which style of glass to use.
In addition, the site features a searchable database of Taylor's stockists from a growing list of more than 6,500 shops worldwide and detailed information on Taylor's history, vineyards and sustainable viticulture.
Nick Heath, marketing director, said: "We've spent a lot of effort studying other wine sites, talking to customers and analysing user behaviour on our old website to produce a site which will appeal to everyone and anyone interested in port.
"More importantly, it provides them with what they really want from a wine site - information."
Throughout the site, consisting of more than 150 pages, are links to other related pages, easing navigation and gently inviting the visitor further into the world of port, how it is made and how to enjoy.
On-going research and development in the Douro vineyards and up-to-date news from Taylor's quintas will appeal to port enthusiasts looking for greater affinity with the brand.
