Calls for registration to London's SIVCBD biodynamic tasting

Registration is now open for the UK's largest dedicated tasting of biodynamic wines in November, when over 40 producers will show a range of wines from their respective portfolios.

The tasting which takes place in London on November 10,  is open to press and trade will include producers who are all members of the Syndicat International des Vignerons en Culture Bio-dynamique SIVCBD.

Olivier Humbrecht, president of the SIVCBD, says: "A vineyard is a living organism and the working practices of our members respect and emanate from this principle, as we believe this is the way to produce the best quality wines from any terroir.

"We know the word 'biodynamics' often sparks heated discussions, which is why we've decided to host this tasting and let our wines speak for themselves."

The SIVCBD was created in 1995 and has 73 member wineries throughout France and other European countries, including Germany.

Since 2002 each member is audited by the independent Ecocert SAS agency on their vineyard and cellar practice; a BIODYVIN label is then issued on an annual basis to all members who have been approved and issued with a certificate of biodynamic culture.
