Diageo has launched a Swedish rival to Pernod Ricard's Absolut vodka in the US market.
Rökk is named after a Viking rune stone and described by the spirits giant as a "premium-priced" offering.
The vodka is four times distilled and freeze filtered which the company claims gives it extra smoothness.
"There is growing consumer interest in high quality, imported vodkas, and we are thrilled to introduce Rökk to the US market, offering consumers a great tasting, incredibly smooth vodka choice that is bold and undeniable," said brand director Adam Rosen.
"The launch of Rökk marks a significant addition to Diageo's offering, providing a compelling premium-priced Swedish import in a period when consumers are looking for choice."
In addition to the 40% abv main vodka Rökk will be available in raspberry, orange, citrus, and apple four flavours at 35% abv.
