Jacob's Creek has signed a six-month sponsorship deal with TV channel Dave.
The brand, which is owned by Pernod Ricard, has developed eight 10-second 'True Character' ads that will appear during peak viewing times (6pm - 9pm) every week night as well as every weekend (12pm - 5pm) for six months.
Each ident, an ad which appears at the beginning and end of a commercial break, features Jacob's Creek consumers enjoying the wine under the tagline, 'Jacob's Creek sponsors real entertainment'. These will be shown in line with programmes that feature people who demonstrate 'true character' through their love of food, travel, comedy and factual entertainment.
Mathew Bird, head of marketing for wines at Pernod Ricard UK, said: "Our partnership with Dave gives us a real opportunity to bring Jacob's Creek True Character to life by sponsoring a strand of programmes that is an ideal fit with our target consumer. The six month deal will allow us to showcase multiple ranges, including our Jacob's Creek Classics, new Jacob's Creek Regional Reserves and our Jacob's Creek Sparkling portfolio, deepen consumer engagement and enhance the Jacob's Creek True Character platform".
Dave is the UK's fifth largest commercial TV station.
