Constellation Europe is launching a national promotion in the run up to Christmas for Stone's Original green ginger wine.
Stone's dominates the branded ginger wine category with almost 50% market share, and the promotion aims to celebrate the unique 'Britishness' of the brand across multiple grocers, specialist and convenience outlets in order to boost sales for the festive season.
Targeting half a million consumers its promotional neck collar will include four versatile seasonal drink ideas to give consumers another reason to buy Stone's, and will offer adult consumers the chance to win the 'Dream British Getaway' of their choice worth £5,000.
Clare Griffiths, vice president of European consumer marketing for Constellation Europe says: "Stone's has a strong association with the festive period. Last year, sales in the 13 weeks leading up to Christmas were up 129% compared with the rest of the year. There was also a staggering 257% uplift in the four weeks leading up to Christmas so retailers should stock up on Stone's to maximise this profit opportunity."
The Stone's brand name dates from the mid-nineteenth century and is well known for its distinctive flavour and traditional recipe. Many years of imaginative and colourful advertising have also made it a household name in not only Britain and latterly Australia, but also the Caribbean and many other countries worldwide.
