Glasspac, the packaging and promotions arm of British Glass, is investing a further 500,000 over the next two years to promote the benefits of glass packaging to brand owners, designers and consumers. The development of the campaign will see expanded into a major source of information on glass packaging, featuring campaign and press information, alongside design, decoration and technical explanations of design and manufacture. Glasspac will also introduce information on recycling, together with news about UK and EU legislation, an area that is of increasing concern to the customer. Andy Hartley, chairman of Glasspac, said: We are now responding to encouraging news that our target audience is keen to know more about glass, how it is made, what it can do and how it is recycled.'
