Glasshouse undergoes pre-pack administration

Published:  09 February, 2009

The 12-strong pub company run by Peter Linacre has undergone a pre-pack administration.

GlassHouse, based in New Malden, Surrey, had ten Scottish & Newcastle Pub Enterprise leaseholds, one freehold and one free-of-tie commercial lease.

It is believed that Linacre's new company - New Pub Company - based in New Malden, Surrey, which was incorporated at the start of 2009, has taken five or so sites out of administration.

The company operated pubs mostly in central and south-west London as well as two sites on the Isle of Wight.

Linacre's other pub company, Massive, went into administration at the start of 2008. Sales across GlassHouse were 60% wet and 40% dry with the food offer having a French twist. Turnover at GlassHouse was around £7m with like-for-like sales up 2% over the past year.

Administrator for GlassHouse TMA Limited is Bentley Jennison.
